A complete dash from a Superior, Car No. 12F; I think it is a '25.
and a firewall from Body No. 33436, Job No. 8170 ('28 ???)
The firewall trim is intact and dent free; needs polishing.
Dash $125 ; firewall $20. [Linked Image from vccachat.org][Linked Image from vccachat.org]

That Chevrolet ID tag was put on that dash by someone else other than the Chevy Factory . I would say it is NOT Chevrolet .

Chevrolet used rivets for their identification plates. Not sure but that looks like a Ford speedometer.

I have found that having an old car is a constant project that is never done. I think that is a good thing. Keeps me learning new things. Having two from different eras is just a form of higher education.

Not necessarily. Many of that era used a combination hex/clutch head screw. I can't say whether the dash in question is Chevy or not but I agree with Bruce that the data plate was likely not installed by Chevrolet. It appears to me to be an artificially aged modern data plate. It's in way better condition than the rest of the dash.

I agree with Tiny

The hex/clutch head screw was used A LOT for many years.
Certainly up to and including the 1946 trucks.

The corrosion in the screw driver slots in the screws does suggest the screws have been where they are for a long time though.
And Chevrolet would never have put a screw through the stamped number area of the plate.

Pictures of the hex/clutch screws holding the repop data plate I bought and stamped for my 38. Someone had painted over the original. I keep the original in my glove box in case a curious police officer questions whether the plate is real or not.
