Looking for a rear bumper for my 37 truck. It's a patina truck so it should be rusted and ugly looking. It just needs to be straighter than mine. Way straighter. If anyone has one laying around and would consider selling it please reach out.

Did Chevy even offer a rear bumper as an accessory in 1937? Or did dealers install aftermarket bumpers.

The box type pickups may have had bumpers but I doubt the flat beds did, or at least mine didnt and most likely wont get 1.

If I had your bumper I would straighten it. If you have access to a shop press it can be used. Or use your truck to supply the pressure. Might take a couple of people or a stand to support and maneuver the face bar. It may be necessary to make a fixture to get the proper arc. You can use mdf (medium density fiberboard) available from local big box store or lumber yard to make the fixture. It can be shaped with wood working tools to get the proper arc in male and female parts of the fixture. Backing with flat metal plates produces stability to the mdf dies.

Yea im sure I can do it. I was just looking for a simpler way instead of having to beat it around a bunch. And like you said the curvature of the bumper is going to be a little tricky. This one's semi twisted in a way.

I guess your all right. I'll give that a whirl and see what I can do
