Today, the soon to be, new owner of the 1935 Standard Coupe came out to work on the car.
We finished installing a hood brace rod that we salvaged from my parts car in the woods. The hood was installed with one original and one replacement hinge bracket. We replaced the patched together Electrolock with a complete and working one from my stash and reinstalled the original lock cylinder and key. Finally, we re-connected the gas tank to the carb via a temporary rubber hose from the pump to the carb and through a clear filter.
A short shake-down ride reassured us that our work was a success.
A few more chores and then into storage for the winter. A productive day.
