I have stains on the anodized trim above the grill on my 61 Bel Air. They appear to be remains from insect collisions. Detergent and water had little effect. Any suggestions on getting stains off with damaging the anodizing?

If it truly is anodized trim there is not much you can do. My guess is that the “bug juice” has removed the anodizing.
Do some google searches about polishing anodized trim. You really cannot polish it without removing the anodizing.
