The adjustment procedure the vacuum shift valve as well as the associated linkage is described in detail in the shop manual. A copy of the 1941 Shop Manual (similar to 1947) is available on line at Oldcarmanualproject.com. This link may help. Mike

You can also use Advanced Search with this string: +adjust +vacuum +shift . The "+" means that the each word must be in the post but not necessarily in that order. Leave a space between each word. You will see quite a few posts about this.

My search returned 200 results which I think is the maximum Chat will return.
