Hey Dan! Sorry but need more information, is it a Fisher Body car? Is it a roadster/phaeton? If Fisher we need the paint number off of the fire wall. I think 29's were this way! Help! I know more about 31's and 32's. If you have the paint number someone can help.

The paint number may have been stamped in the wooden body sill. It was not stamped on the tag until 1931.

According to the Chevrolet Service News for October '29 (page 62) "Starting approximately October 1st, the production department will stamp the color combination, See Fig. 12, in which the car is finished, on the left body sill just inside the left front door.

Since Oct. 1 is the approximate date of the start of 1930 model production, it is likely that no '29s had the paint combination stamped on the sill. However there are one or two combinations for each body style in '29 and early and late in most cases. If you know the production date and body style than the correct color combination can be determined.

Job Number 8840 is a 1929 Sport Coupe with disc wheels. The 1929 wire wheels were an accessory and much sought after today. Three different color combinations are listed for the 1929 Sport Coupe:

Number 13 - Drifwood Smoke and Lindbergh Blue.

Number 19 - Russian Brown and Pioneer Green.

Number 23 - English Gray and Green Gray.

Hope this helps you, and good luck with your project! laugh laugh laugh laugh
