I think my 36 was possibly restored in the 70s since the brake shoes are asbestos. The silver for the headlight reflectors has tarnished pretty dark. I am going to polish it to a nice shiny luster with silver polish. My question is after polishing should I seal that finish with something like a clear lacquer, or some other type of sealer, wax? The polish itself may have a little wax in it, I am not sure.
Another club member has a large cardboard box of the 32/32 candle power headlight bulbs for it so I got 6. Are 50 cp bulbs available? It uses the 3 prong flange bulb.
Steve K. says the led 3 prong bulbs are 3 to 4 months out.

I believe the 50 CP bulbs would only shorten the time for the lens to tarnish due to the increased heat. . Several on this site (and others) have had the lenses nickel plated and then aluminum vacuum sealed. While that does help somewhat the biggest benefit in my opinion is they will no longer tarnish. The vendor for vacuum sealing I used was : Uvira Laser Optics PoBox 1137 310 Pleasant Valley Rd. Merlin Or.97532 541-474-5050. It's been a while but last I knew they were still doing them.

My understanding is the proprietor of Uvira passed away a while back so that option is not currently available. Last time I talked to him he did the work on the reflectors himself.

Before we wright this great business off, I think positive verification would be prudent.
