Newly acquired 1932 Chevy pickup. Want to pull rear drums. Seems to be some type of pressed fit ring on the axle. How to proceed?

That is a 33 rear end ,Not 32. You need to take the cover off of the differential and remove the spacer block and C-rings off the ends of axles, then you just pull the axles straight out and the drums are on them.

Thanks so much! Next question, how do I remove the drum from the axle for turning etc? Beginning to think there is more than a rear end that is 1933...

The wheel studs must be pressed out to remove the drum. The studs can not be reused.
The drum can not be turned on a brake lathe because it is stamped steel and not cast iron. Also is very thin.

Thanks, that is good to know! They are not too bad so will just go as they are, I guess.
