Hi, I built a little speedster on a 25 chassis with 31 running gear. Unfortunately I lost oil pressure and now have a slight knock at certain speeds but it is running well for now. I want to keep an eye out for a replacement in case it eventually gets worse. I read somewhere that 29 and 30 engines had a different bellhousing bolt pattern,is this true? Am I stuck with just 31/32 engine choice for direct bolt in? If I found a 29/30 engine and trans together would that as a pair just drop in? Other choices? Thanx in advance.
