I am about to rebuild my '36 207, and will be cleaning all the rust out of the jackets while it is out.
Freeze plugs and core plug will be removed, but I'm not sure what to do about the square threaded plug on the LHS between #1 and #2 cylinders.
I've looked on most of the forums and cannot find out what this is. I also do not see this plug on many 207's. Canadian truck if that helps.

I'm afraid I may do more harm trying to remove it, and thinking of just leaving it.

Thanks

The machine shop that you take it to will be cleaning the block and can remove the plug if need-be.

Could it be a place to insert a block heater like later Canadian engines had.
