Does anyone know who advised the Danbury Mint Company when they built the 1:24 replica of the 1935 Chevrolet Standard Roadster?
Does anyone know the car which was taken as a model? It would be great to see photos of that car.
The details of the Danbury Mint replica are really amazing.

Earl Peterson confirms that Mike Bancroft, former technical advisor of the VCCA, advised the Danbury Mint Company and that his car was taken as a model.
His blue roadster was the subject of an extensive article that appeared in Special Interest Autos #121.

I was confused by the fact that the Danbury Mint Replica was painted regent maroon (and later pinehurst green) whereas Bancroft's car was painted blue.
There's a National-Motor-Museum-Mint replica that is painted blue with cream wheel discs, exactly like Bancroft's car.

By the way, Bancroft's car was for sale some time ago. Does anyone know who bought it?
