I've done a lot of looking at mohair colors and sources. The best seems to be taupe from Kravet Inc. It isn't perfect but close. The two photos show the existing mohair which appears to be original on a door panel, and the other shows the Kravet product alongside some original fabric. Is this an acceptably close match? I've also found a cut-pile carpet that is a close match. Any advice appreciated. Jack
Exposed fabric colors change due to dirt, UV light and oxidation over the years. Generally dark colors get lighter and light colors get darker. If you make a reasonable effort to match fabrics it will be considered correct except for a few "experts". Don't ask me to define "expert".
The price is why most opt for the synthetic that is a fraction of the cost. But if you want to go the "right" way what else deserves the $$$$$$. That much ice cream is very bad for our health.
