Hi all, Can I draw on the collective wisdom of the group? I believe this fender (right rear) is a Chev. Superior ('23 - '26, in that range) Can you help identify the year(s) and body styles its from? I acquired it in a batch of other parts. Bill
It looks very close to the 24 Roadster fender I have been trying to get a better example to use. The end may be a little different. Is it for sale and would you be willing to do some measurement to confirm it would fit? Many in that range look like they will work but they will not bolt up.
Attached is a picture of the end of the drivers side 24 roadster fender.
. Here's a page in the 4-cyl parts book listing several 1925 - 28 rear fenders that yours might be. The wood running board fenders connect parallel to the ground. Metal running board fenders connect perpendicular to the ground. . . Lou
. Hi Bill, . I copied a page out of March 1, 1939 four cylinder parts book. . The 1927 - 28 parts book I have doesn't have fenders. . The 490 - Superior parts book has pictures but not real clear. . Picture pages 53 & 54. . Lou . PS: I couldn't add photos on private message.
Here is a picture of the bolt pattern on my fender. The red marks were a fender that was suppose to be 24 but wasn't. The measurements are between the holes from the center of the slots/holes. Going left to right 8", 8', 8 5/8", 8 3/8", and the bottom hole across to the other bottom hole 24 1/2".
Here's a few more photos of the fender. The other one in the photo is NOS with the part # stamp still visible-344708 for Series K&V Coach. The parts book pages I found in the July 1, 1927 version. No pictures in that version though. I highlighted the superior RR Roadster fenders that are possible matches - maybe - 335844, 341042, 344474 to the fender I have. The one page didn't pick up the part numbers in the scan as they were too far into the binding to be picked up, but I have the book to reference if needed. That page has mostly 490 fenders listed. The bolt hole spacing measured 9 1/8, 8 3/4, 9 1/8, 7 1/2, & 24 1/2 across on my mystery roadster fender.
