Is there any way to check a 13 diget VIN number to see if a classic car still excist or has been totaled? Just wondering if my old 1967 Chevelle SS 396 still excist somewhere I know the vin number Most vin searches only track 18 digets.

it takes a lot of detective work to track down a particular vehicle. There are sites that will "decode" a 13 digit VIN. They have no connection to any registration data.

Registration data is done state-by-state. If you have access to R.L. Polk data you might be able to locate it. But that costs pretty good money.
