Well, after several months of working on it, I finally got the '31 engine back together and running again. Is 7 psi oil pressure good enough? That is what I get at idle.
Thanks to all who commented on mine and other members questions over the years. They really helped me in getting this far.

sounds fine, dont need pressure as much as you need the flow wink

The only point that gets the 7 pounds is the center main bearing. You will find that after the oil is hot it may be even less. That is normal.

So, it has been a few weeks since I last started the engine. Got it running today, but after a minute or two, I had no oil pressure. Last time it ran I had 7 psi. Any thoughts on why?

Do you have oil flow at the rocker arms if so check for blockage on pressure gauge line.

No, that's what got me looking at the oil pressure gage. Back when I had everything apart (including the oil pump) and then put back together, I used a drill and adapter to prime the oil pump. Even then, it took priming oil through the oil distributor to get the pump woking. I am sure everything went back together correctly. I am using the correct recommended oil.

Your oil pump may have losts its prime or distributor tang rose up and pulled out of the oil pump.

So, I did figure out that the oil pump lost its prime. I took the line loose to the rocker arms and poured some oil down that line. That did the trick and the pump is pumping again. Going to wait a few days and see if it still keeps its prime. Thanks for the help.
