Hi everyone,
My brother and I restored a 28 chevy capitol one ton, about 20 years ago. It is very complete, original engine, lights, etc.
Through the years we've had it in many parades, weddings, etc. It has always been stored inside of my brothers garage.
In july of this year, he passed away, very unfortunate, sad, because he and I grew up together, and worked over 50 years together, running a family excavating and trucking business, retiring in 2016.
Hi family will be selling the property, so, I have no place to store this truck.
It's been difficult, coming up with a value for this truck, not knowing where to look.
Does anyone have an idea what the value would be? For years, we had an insurance policy for this truck, and we set the cash value at $12,000, many years ago.
I'll try to add some photos.
Thank you
Larry

Welcome Larry. Establishing value of anything is difficult because it all depends on how badly the seller wants to sell and how badly the buyer wants to buy. There are some guidelines available. Old Cars Weekly sells a price guide that is based on actual sales around the country. You can peruse ebay to see what similar vehicles are selling for, look at actual sales prices not reserves or asking prices. NADA guide is another resource. A lot also depends on location. Good luck.
