Similar to the Model A I had a while back, I had to take the back cover off, light oil on the wick, and making sure the workings spun freely. Shorting out the horn at its back, got it to spin, but no dice on the horn button. Tried adjusting the top screw on the back of the horn, but I wasn't sure how tight or loose that has to be. Pulled the horn button out and cleaned the two prongs that go into the column, and still no contact. A small wire coming out of the base of the column near the steering gear, looked like a connection that comes apart and I cleaned that connection.....still no horn. Any thoughts? Thanks..... Don

It may be necessary to verify that the connection from the horn to ground through the button is good. If you don't have a VOM or other meter, you can use a test light. If you look at the ammeter when pushing the horn button and it indicates a discharge the button is making contact.

After a good cleaning and oiling the horn motor, which should have been done anyway, checking with a test light, all the connections, with a positive connection on the single wire leading up into the steering column, it turned out to so simple. The two metal prongs attached to the horn button on the steering wheel just needed a slight bending out and reinserting back onto the wheel......bingo.....the horn is back!
