I am going with single exhaust on my 1950 Bel Air, 235 PG. Several vendors offer them. Any recommendations on vendors?

You should have ordered the exhaust system for a 235 engine becase all the pipes are larger in diameter amd muffler designed for less back pressure in your 235 engine.
The original exhaust pipe to manifold connection used a fLAT GASKET AND PIPE FLANGE in 1949 and 1950 and that did not work out well so replacements sold used the fat packing ring line previous and following years had
