I am going with single exhaust on my 1950 Bel Air, 235 PG. Several vendors offer them. Any recommendations on vendors?

I bought from Waldron Exhaust. Everything fit.

I bought my 1950 Bel Air 216 exhaust system from Classic Exhaust in Geneva Ohio. The only piece that fit correctly was the muffler. The exhaust pipe was too long and hung below the frame by at least 6 inches. The end that bolts to the exhaust manifold also had to be cut and flared to fit correctly. The tailpipe rubbed against the frame in two places. It was too close the the rubber boot for the parking brake as well. And finally, the end which was flatten just like the factory did, was not correct. Classic showed me the bending cards that they had for my specific model of car. Having the cards is great. Knowing how to use them correctly is a whole different matter. I went to Classic because they are only 45 miles from my house. Waldron (my first choice) would have been over $200.00 in shipping charges. Lesson learned.

You should have ordered the exhaust system for a
235 engine becase all the pipes are larger in diameter amd muffler designed for less back pressure in your 235 engine.

The original exhaust pipe to manifold connection used a fLAT GASKET AND PIPE FLANGE in 1949 and 1950 and that did not work out well so replacements sold used the fat packing ring line previous and following years had
