One of the two trunk supports on my '40 coupe doesn't work. That is, whatever spring is supposed to hold the latch in place seems to be missing. This clear? Any suggestions?
Thanks

Calmcar - it's the left (driver's side) support that no longer works. It simply slides up and down but does not lock in place. The right side has a flat spring that locks in place. The left side one seems to be missing the spring.
Can you help?? (thanks for the reply) Fred

Don't know if they are still available, a few years ago I&I Reproductions had replacement springs for trunk supports. I&I REPRODUCTIONS 562-531-8117 WWW.IandIReproduction.com DD

Dandyd, thanks for the lead. I've requested their catalog. Fred
Camcar - do you have one of the supports available? Let's talk ...
