Hello,I am just swapping out my 194 for a GM straight six. My problem is identification of the engine, (sure it's a 1948 but dont know model) so I have cast number 383530 and what looks like a B or an 8, also it has embossed GM48 within a circle other embossed numbers are CON4 A63 engine serial is DEA59165, hope you can help,the restoration is in its 8th year had to do full nut and bolt takedown, new wood frame myself (as no one would take it on,made the whole frame from 2 planks of white ash at a cost of £120. Not bad . The engine swap is working and matching up to the original drive train,just need engine info so I can order electronic ignition kit. I know it's not original but it's a car and needs to be on the road looking great !thank you. Anyone needs help got pictures of all the works from original untouched car from Colorado, by the way I'm in the UK England.
