How do you get the battery out of a 1932 Chevy special sedan? The battery is under the passenger side of the floorboard. The hole in the floorboard is not big enough to get the battery out Tell me there is an easy way to do this! Ron

You have to take the floor board out.

It is not 100% necessary to remove the floor board. You can lift the floor board and prop it up to give enough room to lift the battery up and out. Grabbing the battery by the upper ends requires fairly strong hands.

If you are going to use a lifting device either one that clamps on the battery ends or one that slips over the terminals it will be necessary to remove the floor board. That can be done by lifting it up with the shift lever in reverse or second and the parking brake pulled back.
