When you have selected a file (picture) to attach you have to wait for a thumbnail of the image to appear below the "Attached Files" line before clicking on Done. When the thumbnail appears the upload is complete and you click on Done.

I’ve followed your instructions. Tap full editor. Tap attachment. Locate pic of choice. Thumbnail below attachment will not show pic, only a question mark. It will not show thumbnail, no matter how long I wait. Too tough for me, I guess. But thanks Tony for assisting me.

What is the extension of the image(s) you're trying to upload? I don't understand the question mark. Perhaps they're a type of image the forum software doesn't support???? I'm about out of ideas.

I do not know what “extensions” indicate, when speaking of the photo I’m trying to show here.
I probably have no business trying to add a photo, but I was able to follow your steps, Tiny.
Instead of a pic appearing in the thumbnail, a question mark appears instead.
That’s where everything comes to a halt.
A digital picture will have a file name, either one assigned by the software that processes it or a name given it by the user. Any name is followed by the extension. The most common extension is .jpg. For example the photos below. The photo of the car on the bridge has a file name of IMG_0035.jpg that was assigned it by the camera that took it. The photo of the license plate has a file name of License Plate.jpg that I gave it. The .jpg extension is what tells the software how the image was processed. If the photos you're attempting to upload are images that the forum software isn't capable of processing the forum software will know that when it reads the extension of your photos. At one time Peter listed the extensions the forum software recognizes but I don't remember them off hand. I believe it supports most of the common extensions. The question mark is what puzzles me. The forum is telling you it doesn't recognize the file you're trying to upload. If you can advise what the extension is it might give us a hint. If you hover your pointer over each image below, a small box will pop up that shows the file name and size of each, both .jpg.

Tiny, I don’t understand what I’m asking either ! 😊
I go to full editor. Then I go to attachment. Then I pick a pic. And then it’s asks for a name … is that where I place the id of the pic ? That’s my question.

Attachment Manager doesn't ask for a file name. It's a button that says Select A File To Attach. Click it then navigate to the picture you want to attach and select it.

I've never seen a "file caption" in Attachment Manager. What are you clicking on? I took a screenshot of the Attachment Manager link. Left side about the middle. Is that what you're clicking on?

The "File Caption" box and "Select a File to Attach" button are within the Attachment Manager window. See the attached photo below.
If you want to have a caption for your photo, you type the caption into the File Caption box.
You must type the caption in the box BEFORE you attach your photo file. The Attachment Manager does not have the capability to 'add' a caption to a photo that has already been selected. If you leave the File Caption box empty, you can still attach a photo file, but there won't be a caption for it.
Use the Select a File to Attach button to navigate to where your photo is on your device and select that photo.
Another way to do this is to single click (select) the photo on your device (on Windows, use the File Explorer) and then drag and drop the photo anywhere within the Attachment Manager window.
When you are done attaching photos, click the Done button and you'll be back in the Full Editor, where the number of files you 'attached' are shown next to the Attachment Manager link.
Then, when you click on the Post Reply button at the bottom of the Full Editor, the website's system will upload your post and photos onto the club's server.

OK, my bad. Can't see the forest for the trees I guess. My apologies to all concerned. Does anyone have some salt for my helping of crow? I've never used the caption feature so Dean will be the expert there. It is not necessary to provide a caption to add a picture. There's a step by step how to in the Forum Question forum that does not include how to do a caption since the author of the post was ignorant of such when he created it.
