The attached photos show the bakc of the front upper seat in my Confederate. The mohair looks original, but was it standard for the lower half of the seat back to be carpeted? The carpet matches what was on the floor front and back when I got the car. Thanks for any advice.
Gene could you expand a little on your reply please? My interior upholstery for my 32 std sedan came from Hampton Coach and no carpet was included for the back of the front seat.
Yes, please. Was your "yes" to my question of whether or not carpet was used on the lower portion of the seat back, or was it to the statement that carpet was only used on the floor of the rear seating? I will add that on my '32 the exposed portions of the frame that hold the front seat and seat back are covered in tan or taupe mohair, but one portion appears to be leather or vinyl [couldn't be vinyl of course in 1932]. Should it be all mohair on the frame? Photos of properly restored seats, seat backs, and carpeting wouidl be a great help if anyone cared to post them. Many thanks. Jack
