Hello, I am new here and still trying to figure out this site. anyway, i have a pick up truck, 1957 chevy and I need to pick a color to paint it. I don't like the ocean green color that it was and have chosen a darker green. I found a truck that was purchased a number of years ago that was on an antique truck sale website and the color is a dark green. I have researched the truck to no avail, but am determined to duplicate the color for my truck restoration. I am going to atempt to post it on this website and ask anyone who knows colors and can make a recomendation. I have a hard time with colors and cannot just go into a paint shop and match it.

The dark green was Brewster Green. That was the standard color if an optional color was not specified. It was a commercial color and availale for other trucks for many years, It was not as attractive as that picture shows - just a basic dark green non metalic.

If you go to a paint shop that body shops use IE Dupont, PPG, or Sherman Williams they will have a device that can scan your Truck and match it perfectly.
