My passenger side door, window regulator is skipping, (rotating without moving the window)... When I had the door panel off... I took the regulator out and tried to flatten the housing that held the gears together... to see if I could get the gears to mesh as they should .... it seamed to help after putting it back together.... the window would roll down but only up intermittently.... skipping some of the time...
does anyone here know of someone that repairs the door window regulators..??? or does someone have one that they might be willing to let go of...?? contact me at: sunnybabaspirit@yahoo.com thanks, Sunny

Perhaps you could dis-assemble the crank/gear mechanism and build up the worn gear and then grind as needed.

Thanks for the suggestion... as a last resort... I will tear the whole gear unit apart.. and look see what needs to change to work right...
Then I will fix it... but only as a last resort...

Put an ad in the parts wanted forum. Chances are if someone is hot-rodding a 34 they will be converting to power windows.

Window regulator repair kits show up on eBay from time to time.

Contact Rex at precision-pwr.com. 800-794-5962 He can completely rebuild regulators with better than new parts. Not cheap but worth the trouble free installation.
