I need help with my vacuum fuel tank on the firewall
I was dimwittedly removing the brass fittings on the cap of the tank and separated the brass fitting from the tank lid
it seems that the brass housing was led soldered to the tank lid

does anyone have any experience on re-leading this brass fitting to the steel lid?

the brass fitting has a fragile looking dual tube shutoff that I am worried about damaging by getting it too hot during the leading procedure

I tried JB weld but it did not hold

any help?

Paul

Email me a few photos of the tank and fittings that you are worried about. Or you can PM me a link to photos. I have rebuilt several vacuum tanks so should be able to help.
