Hi all.

I know this question is outside of what we typically discuss here but I'm trying to help a friend out. I have gotten awesome help for this group on my 1928 chevy truck so I thought I would take a shot and see if anyone had any suggestions. My friend has a 1929 Plymouth with a 4 cylinder. He is looking for an oil pump or a rebuild kit. I've done a general google search and found very little info.

As always thanks for your help.

Try AMS Obsolete in Fairmont Georgia also Andy Bernbaum. His ad says 1930 and up. There is a recent article in the G and D about a company in Mass ?? that has a HUGE inventory of parrts for all makes.

Hello Kevin,

So as your friend probably knows the '29 Plymouth was just a re-badge of the '28 Chrysler model 52. In '28 they had a 52, a 62, a 72, and the Imperial 80. That was a guarantee of how fast the car would go from the factory. In '29 the 52 became Plymouth, the 62 became DeSoto, and the 72 stayed as the Chrysler line. I think Plymouth used that engine until '33, or '34 when they upgraded to a six cylinder. Check with Jay Astheimer at 610-462-3631 We bought parts for our Fisher bodied Chrysler 72 Golf Club Coupe from him.
