I put a newly rebuild steering wheel on my dad's 47 Chevy convertible and now the horn honks when turning the wheel to the "10" and "2" positions. Is there any adjustment I can make to fix the issue? Thanks

More often than not that problem is because of a bad steering mast bearing or the wire that is connected to it.

Good luck

The shop manual also has a procedure for adjusting the contact cone located on the lower back side of the steering wheel. It is threaded to move it closer or further away from the steering mast bearing contact surface mentioned above. It will be necessary to loosen the clamping screw on the chrome horn ring before the cone will turn.
