I am looking for a Headlight, Clear Sealed Beam #1185A 6v 7" 3 Prong Plug for a 1940 Chevrolet Special Deluxe. Chevs of the 40's tell me it is unavailable to them. Any ideas on where to purchase?

I may have a pair but I don't see a number 1185A on them?

I don't know about the number you listed but 7" 6v sealed beams are commonly available. You should be able to get them through your local parts house.

Would you be able to send a picture of them? Mine have a number z4 then 2D1 below that and the name Wagner at the bottom.
The other side has the number 2 and then General Electric at the bottom with the words "sealed beam" below that. I am thinking this is the original headlight.

I have checked with NAPA and Auto Zone auto parts with no luck. I will check a few other local parts stores. Thank you!

Ask them for a Wagner or Phillips H6006. They'll probably have to order it in. Amazon carries them.

The original head lights where ( GUIDE ) .
