Is the 1932 Clutch Disk with the cushion in it usable in a '31? As far as I can tell there will not be a clearance issue, but would hate to find one once every thing is assembled.

from what info and parts interchangeability charts I have 1929-31 are the same, then 1932 is different
the spline is the same, looks like they are 9" OD but the style is different on a 1932

maybe Chip or Chipper can chime in on If you can use a 1929-31 clutch disc in a 1932

There can be an interference issue depending on the flywheel bolt heads and the manufacturer of the clutch plate. If so you can either grind off a little of the bolt head or use flatter bolt heads. Toothed lock washers are a must.

So, lesson learned. The '32 clutch disk I had did have enough clearance on the flywheel side, but on the pressure plate side, when fully engaged, the fingers in the pressure plate contacted the cushion on the clutch disk.

Long story short, a '32 clutch disk will not work on a '31 without at least modifying the pressure plate and fingers.
