I have found that having an old car is a constant project that is never done. I think that is a good thing. Keeps me learning new things. Having two from different eras is just a form of higher education.

My 41 just has wires to the ignition, nothing that would be hard to defeat. When rewiring the car my kids had asked why if the car was to be stolen a criminal could not run a wire from the coil right to the battery since the starter is always powered. Only thought I had was that the doors would be locked preventing the hood from opening. I have found that having an old car is a constant project that is never done. I think that is a good thing.
