I set the valve lash on my 35 by adjusting some of them at #1 TDC, rotated the engine one revolution (360) and set the remaining valves when # 6 was at TDC. I'm assuming I can do the same setting up my 58. Am I correct in that assumption. I need to find the old post to determine which intake and exhaust is adjusted at each TDC

You are correct. Your procedure will work on your '58 because the firing order is the same as your '35.

The key is whatever valve you are adjusting has to be on the base circle of the camshaft lobe.

Does the 1958 have hydraulis lifters?

Found the old post for pre setting valve lash

#1 @ TDC. adjust Int 1,2 and 4. Exhaust. 1, 3 and 5

Roll 360 degrees.

#6 @ TDC adjust int 3, 5 and 6 Exhaust 2, 4 and 6
