Hi, JYD and 1930SC were talking about Shalimar Orange stripes on hood louvres. I have in my `30 SC color combination # 37 ( Beaver Brown Dark, Stanford Brown, Shalimar Orange and Mahogny Grained ) They have also been the original colors of the car. "The stripes on the louvres" is new for me. What is the "leading edge"? Where the stripes begin and where they end. Are they hair pencil painted like other stripes? Is it possible to find a pic of the louvres with stripes? Thanks in advance.

1930SportCoupe Many thanks for the picture. It became clear to me. Hoods are like candies. I have to make better mine. Maybe we have very similar cars. Greetings from Arctic Circle.

Finn: The hood louver stripe is 1/16" wide and it is spaced 1/16" back from the leading edge of the louver.

Thank You JYD. I use sable`s hair pencil (very old men say it is a must) and the breadth in the result is not exact but is fine to know the target. It is for me very difficult to quickly perceive the old american measurings in fractions. We use desimals; 2 is bigger than 1, but I cannot say soon which is bigger 7/64, 1/8 or 5/32. So 1/16" is for me about 1,6 mm. (2,54/16) Thanks of many pieces of good advice.
