My Confederate Deluxe currently has a brownish mohair interior and faded red or maroon seats. The trim number is 17 on the firewall plate, so I assume taupe is the proper color. The exterior is a maroon, while the plate says paint package 94, which was black and gray. I'm not keen on any of those colors. Do I compromise the value or integrity of the car if I go with a different paint and trim selection other than the original?

YES the value and originality are compromised by changing the color from the original that is on the tag

HOWEVER it is your car and you can make it your own

Thanks. Pretty much what I expected, but good to have it reinforced. By the way, my dash is painted black. Would that have been the case on all 32's?
