Howdy. I’ve got a messy thread on the rear wheel spindles. No idea how past owner got them like that, but probable no thinking was used. Can anyone tell me the pitch angle of those treads. I don’t have a pitch gauge, so before I start I was hoping someone could inform me. First time posting since signing up years ago. Thanks in advance.

Hi Pattyg0,
Glad you jumped into the fray! Welcome!
Is it a car or truck?
Are you asking about the threads on the rear axle or the threads on the hub (where the dust cover aka hub cap would screw onto)?
If you post a photo of the threads in question, I'm sure someone will chime in with some info.

Use a ruler and count how many thread per inch. Likely 16.
