I just picked up the following parts today. I will be going to Hershey in October and can deliver them there, they can be picked up in Dartmouth Ma, or they can be shipped at buyers expense. Email me for pictures only if you’re interested in purchasing.
A, 1-1929 air cleaner, no small connector pipe, flange for connector pipe appears to be missing, otherwise in nice shape. These are rare and hard to find. $75BO B, 1930 air cleaner, no small pipe, in very good to excellent condition other than needing paint, rare and hard to find especially in this condition. $85BO C, 1931 943J generator with proper front pulley. Has very nice diode in place of cut out. Not tested yet but it will be soon. $100BO D, 1932 714L starter with switch. Not tested yet but will be soon. $100 BO E, 5-19” 6 lug wire wheels. All appear in very nice shape with no real dents or rust. $60ea or BO F, 1- 18” 6 lug wire wheel with WW tire. WW is discolored but Ishtar clean up. Tread appears never to be on the road. No cracks or dry rot. $75BO G, 1931 motor: I was told it was stuck because of a bad rod. That is not the case as I removed the head and pan and it appears some surface rust has stuck the pistons. All cam lobes appear in excellent condition but cam has not been removed. I believe the head is good and I will be sending it to a very reputable shop to be thoroughly checked. 31 heads are very hard to find and if it checks out good price will be $500 for the head and I’ll throw in the motor in “as is” condition. Whoever wants the head can have the machine shop redo the head and it can be sent directly to the purchaser. The shop can have the head to go very quickly for someone needing a head soon. H, 4- BF Goodrich Silverton 4.75-5.00 x 19 blackwall tires with tubes. These are older stock new. One was mounted on a rim but still has the tread label intact. Tires are soft and subtle. Two are still plastic strapped together. The other three have never been mounted and tubes are still in bags. This is a $1200+ package new today. I will sell for $650BO They have been stored in a dark garage out of sunlight.
I will be checking over all the above parts in the next few days and will confirm the condition of each to the best of my ability. I will be making a list of those who make offers that are less than the asking price and contact me by email with the parts being sold on first refusal. I am a fair person and do not play games. The first to contact me will have the chance to meet any best offer I receive on the item but I will not take second offers from those who are not first on the list. If the first does not want to match the best offer, then the second on the list becomes the first and can match the best offer. If asking price is offered, the item will be sold immediately. The other wheel with the Lester WW is not a 33 but a 32.
Generator appears to have been rebuilt fairly recently as it’s not dirty inside, has red epoxy paint inside, shiny armature, long brushes, and what seems to be some new cloth wires. The pulley numbers are in a photo.
Starter appears in average condition. Haven’t put 6 volts to it yet but hope to in a day or two.
Generator, 29 air cleaner, and 32 wheel/ tire will be going to Hershey and will be in the orange field. I cleaned the the WW up and inflated the tire. It cleaned up real well with only one small blemish and the tread is new, never been on the road. Wheel is in very good condition and the assembly would make a great using wheel/tire or a spare for anyone needing it. There will be many other 30 parts going also.
