Hello All,

I am new to this forum and am scheduled to look at a 1965 Chevy C10 Panel Truck this Saturday. Can anyone provide some known problems areas to be sure to check out ?
I used to have a couple of corvettes, but the C10 is new to me and not sure of the common problem areas.

Any information is greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Welcome to Chevy Chat Forums.
In the midwest, RUST is the primary nemesis of the old car/truck hobbiest. The mechanical components of a 1965 Chevy truck are pretty manageable and simple. Parts are (for the most part) available.
We need more truck nuts here, so good luck and let us know what happens.

I agree with Mike. Check anywhere and everywhere for rust. Not just the body but the chassis and frame.

Thank you Mike and Rusty.
It has been and continues to be a SoCal truck - current owner has had it since 1980.
Hopefully, if any rust, it is just some surface rust.

Scott,
Once you get yourself an old Chevy truck, I hope you will forget all about those Fibreglass toys from your past. I'm willing to forgive that mistake from your past, if you promise to straighten yourself up, from now on.
