When putting the welting on the cowl on a 32, does the j bolts catch just one side of the welting, or do you punch a hole so that it can catch the wire? Thanks

The J bolt really needs to pull on the wire to tighten the welting. I have never had to punch a hole as I cram enough of the welting into the hook that when tightened snags enough of the wire to pull it tight.

i just punched a little hole in the welting for hte j-bolt
used an icepick :)
