Hi everyone
I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find an original radio for my 41 Chevy. It doesn't have to work, I would like it to be complete though. I am also trying to find a good source for Chevy accessories, such as the mounted compass etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Running a "wanted" ad in the G&D, the Vintage Chevrolet Clubs monthly publication, will reach the greatest number of honest Chevrolet people. The ads are free-all it will cost is the membership to the club

Hi Gary- Check Ebay daily. There is always a continuous stream of parts and accessories for 1941 cars. There is a radio on Ebay now. I'm not an expert on your year, but a little investigation will verify if this is the radio that is correct for your car. radio There was a compass on Ebay a few months ago. It went for about $800! Good luck!

The radio we were directed to on ebay is a 1942-48 radio and not technically correct for the 1941.

First radio is a 1947-48 aftermarket, incomplete, radio. (Estimated value $50.00) Second radio is a 1942-46 Chevrolet car/truck radio.

Hey everyone
I really appreciate all the great feedback!! With everyone's help I know I will get the right radio for my car. I can't believe how helpful this forum has been so far. Most of my friends are customizers and their solution to getting a correct radio is to cut out the dash!!! Needless to say, their comments make me cringe :) I think this site alone is worth my monthly internet payment. Thanks again everyone.
P.S. Ray, can I take you shopping with me on E BAY? I'll pay for the lunch. Your expertise has just saved me from wasting bids on the wrong radios.

Talk about raising the dead. FWIW the OP hasn't been on site in over 20 years.

Note that Ray’s post is from 2009.
The revival of this thread does show that some people do use the search function.
