I just saw one on eBay for a 49-54 Chevy. Anyone know what it is?

It's a poor excuse for a repair that should be done correctly in my opinion. I removed one from my 51 . It slips over the arm/lever and the screw tightens to take out some play. It does eliminate some looseness but is a band-aid approach at best..

We used to install them when the 1949-1954 models got older an rebusing the idler arm REBUILD was too expensive. If not way too loose it can get the idler arm freeplay under control for not too much money. If propely adjusted they an work OK.
