Has anyone ever used high gloss chassis paint for their fenders and running boards? For example, POR 15.

I've read a lot of bad reviews of POR15. Never used it personally.

From what I've read it has no UV resistance without a top coat. I'm going to use a truck bed liner on the underside of mine for my 28 truck to cover up some of the pitting.

The POR-15 Rust Preventive Coating is not UV resistant so must be top coated.

POR-15 now has a product called POR-15 Top Coat DTM that is UV resistant.

Check the details at the POR-15 website.
