I'm looking for a picture and/or information on how the kick panels are attached on a 1940 Chevy PU.

If you have measurements that I could use to make my own, I would appreciate it.

I can't give you specifics on a 40 PU but I'd wager it's similar to my 38 car. Below is a picture showing my 38's driver side kick panel. The aft end fits in a "U" shaped groove that you can see running vertical just forward of the door panel (the Plover Beige strip here). The front end is held by friction fit with the cowl and the floor mat. To hold mine more securely I glued a magnet to the panel that then sticks to a steel horizontal brace running behind the panel.
