I have no vested interest in this product but I will be buying one for my trailer. A friend of mine told me about it. Not inexpensive but neither is buying another trailer.

I am surprised that the arm is not more visible. I would at least put a bright tennis ball on the end. My concern is someone walking into it when the trailer is parked. It could be quite the knee-knocker.

I've never had a need (yet) but my thoughts were always to use a spare trailer ball inserted in the hitch and a padlock through the latch.

A chain through the slots in 2 wheels is pretty effective also.

Any theft deterrent is intended to slow the thief down or make them create noise/activity to defeat the deterrent.

Most trailer theft deterrents can be quickly defeated using a battery powered grinder with a cutting disc. The key is that using the grinder makes noise and sparks.
