For my 1932 engine overhaul, the only gasket I`m missing is the gasket between the intake and exhaust manifold. Beeing in Europe it will cost a lot more in shipping and taxes, than buying the gasket, so hope to make it myself.
As there is both pressure and heat in this position, I guess I need a gasket of some special material, is there any ideas on how to make this gasket myself?
First the gasket fit all 1932-1936 cars and trucks. Was constructed like the manifold to head gaskets years ago, that is thin metal with thicker asbestose on one side. I wound say ant thicker modern heat proof gasket should work. Thickness comparable to the manifold to head gaskets.
you are referring to the small gasket that sits in between hte intake and exhaust manifold when you bolt them together ?? that one varies depending on year, if you are looking for hte gasket between hte intake/exhaust manifold assembly and the head that is the same 3 piece gasket for 1929-32
