I have been looking for a set of top irons for my '29 roadster basket case. I found a set of irons that I can buy but need to know if they are even somewhat correct. They are flat bar stock hinged and bent in curves in order to fold up. They have a small almost square box on the windshield header end to mount over the stanchion pin with a thumb screw.
If this won't work can someone please post some pictures of what I should be looking for?

Art, there is some good pictures of a 1929 USA roadster with just the hood irons and bows showing on the internet, site bigiron.com search 1929 Chevrolet international series AC roadster.

Thank you very much. I found that series of pictures a year ago or so and saved 1, but couldn't find it again until you gave me the link. I don't see a very clear view of the attaching mechanism. But it helps seeing how they are curved and connected.

Art, are you looking for the front bow attachment pictures, I think I saw some on you tube showing the hood releasing mechanism.
