Can anyone give me a clear picture of their firewall on an original '39 Chevy truck so that I can see what holes are original on my truck? Thanks, Bob

Not sure if the ones labeled on my '46 1/2T will be of any help, but I don't think there was a whole lot of changes made between '39 and '46. As you can see, there's a couple of holes I haven't identified either, as well as a couple of 'custom' holes that will have to be patched. -Bob

I am not sure if '39s and '46s share the same hole pattern. I know that the Xs imprinted on your cab are 11s on '39s and '40s. Chevrolet, do you still have those pics of your '40?

I am pretty sure that they are the same. I do not think that anything would have changed going through the firewall. The trucks both still have the same components requiring holes in the firewall. Your pictures would help me a ton. Thanks, Bob

hi bob, hope this helps...since we still don't know how to post our own pics, maybe we can use bowtie bob's: the two "radiator support rod" and two "hood latch brket" are the same...as are the "wire harness" and "speedo cable" holes...also, the three "voltage reg" and two "cowl to dash spt" mounting holes...the two "wire clamp" are also similar... our heater use the same vertical arrangements for the hoses, but the two mounting bolts are both in between the hose holes... our electrolock cable runs through a somewhat smaller hole at the location marked "ammeter to starter"...the starter wiring runs through the hole to the left, which bob has marked with a "?"...we don't have the any of the other holes also marked "?"... in the middle, we have just the four-hole grommet...from the engine side, left to right, are choke & throttle cables, temperature gauge capillary tube, and oil pressure gauge tube... finally, our vacuum line from the engine into the cab runs through the hole marked "cowl drain"... good luck, epi
