I didn't really know where to post this, but it's kind of mechanical related, so I put it here.
I found another original operator's manual for my '46 truck recently. Inside I found these 2 pieces of paper I thought others might find interesting. They appear to be predelivery/delivery information for the buyer of a new 1946 Chevrolet truck. One is a predelivery check list. The other tells the new owner tire pressures to use, what oil is in the crankcase, and how to break in the new engine.
The "Caution to Owners" piece has a small hole suggesting it was hung somewhere on the truck at the time of delivery, and cautions: "Dealer: Do Not Remove"
I thought that at local small shows it might be fun to hang this in the truck.
Does anyone know where this was originally hung when the truck was sold new? Thanks
It was more or less up to the dealer. All that I have seen were either tucked into the owners manual or in the green envelope folder along with the bill of sale, battery warranty, etc.
I remember trucks with two speeds having a tag attached to the shift lever with 2 speed instructions. New blocks and engines came with a smaller tag with break-in instructions,
