Is putty applied over the nails that secure the rain gutter in place? Are slotted screws used in a few places on the gutter, and do they get putty?
I think some screws are used at the foward opening where the gutter attaches to the top rail (latch is located here) but I not sure about the sides.
Also, are the larger holes in the gutter supposed to line up with the nail holes in the body at the sides?
Lot's of questions, but my rumble seat area was all rotted away and only a few exposed nails and replacement screws were there.
