I can only assume that one of the previous owners was getting ready to install a digital multimedia screen.

Trying to come up with a decent looking fix is proving elusive

I can't come up with one better than that.

Welcome to the club Grumpy. Great name btw. My grand Kiddies call me Grumpy also. Not sure if that's where you got yours or not? I passed the name onto my 28 truck. Seemed like the thing to do wink

In my 41 Chevy Master Deluxe there is a grill there where the speaker would be if there was a radio. Perhaps something like that may not look out of place.

I have found that having an old car is a constant project that is never done. I think that is a good thing. Keeps me learning new things. Having two from different eras is just a form of higher education.

I don't know how many years used that dash but maybe find someone doing a custom or parting a truck out and buy the dash out of it??
