I am working with a paint shop to correctly paint my '27 AA 2 dr coach. I have the color combinations and modern references (St. James Gray, Black and Pistache green), along with the listing of what is painted which color.

However it would be a huge help to have a good resolution digital photo of a similar car with the same paint as a reference for the paint shop, particularly on the detail of the striping (belt molding) and on the disc wheels.

Could a chat contributor either send me a good digital photo, post one, or give me reference to where I can find one or more photos? The engine detailing would also be of huge help.

Well, I will answer my own message, with a request for critical review of my assumptions.

Attached is a scan of a Feb 1927 ad showing a 2 dr. coach. I don't know if it is a '26 or '27, but the colors are pretty darn close to the black-gray-green combinations provided by Bill Bradford. What is helpful is seeing how the louvres are painted and the belt-molding done. The disk wheel striping is more difficult to pick up, but it shows better on an ad that I have from "Country Life", April 1927.

Comments appreciated! (a real photo would be even better..send to wlinton1@charter.net)
